Time for Joy

I love these words that I read today ... perfect for the start of this wonderful, but busy time of year.

"Always be joyful. Never stop praying.
Be thankful in all circumstances,
for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus."
(I Thess. 5:16-18)

"Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again - rejoice!
Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do.
Remember the Lord is coming soon.
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.
Then you will experience God's peace
which exceeds anything we can understand.
His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 4:4-7)

Joy, and peace ... what we all long for throughout the year, and especially during this Christmas season. These gifts of highest value come as a result of ... thanking God in all circumstances, and praying instead of worrying. These are gifts that I desire this season of buying, decorating, baking, and celebrating. And I want to remember where they come from ...
