A New Year of Thanks

A New Year of giving thanks - for the big things, and also for the little, everyday things. A joy, and also a discipline. Choosing to be thankful for the small blessings, as well as the big - in the midst of a busy life that is often filled with difficult things, as well.

Spending New Year's Eve with my hubby
The warmth of our wood stove on a cold day
Root Beer floats by the fire
"Fiddler on the Roof"
Thankful for my husband

New Year's Day - another relaxing day with the one I love
Time to read, relax, and plan for the New Year
A special menu for supper
Stuffed Chicken Breasts with Cranberry Quinoa
Shared by the warmth of the fire in our Family Room
Thankful for a brand new year

A slower week - time for planning and organizing for the New Year
A brand new facebook page for this blog (see sidebar - and "like" if you wish!)
Setting up a blogging schedule, and planner for the year
The perfect first week of the New Year
Thankful for God's direction in planning

Special treats at the end of the first week of January
A meal out with family at Village Inn
Our (grown) children treating their grandpa (my father - 91 years old!)
Joy of seeing how happy this made him
Adorable little Eva (our little grandbaby)
Thankful for family

Worship at our church with friends
Sharing a meal at Runza after church with a dear couple
Two and a half hours of sharing together
Thankful for friends

"How great is the goodness You have stored up
for those who fear you.
You lavish it on those who come to You for protection ..."
(Psalm 31:19)
