"Thanksgiving creates abundance;
and the miracle of multiplying happens when I give thanks -
take the just one loaf,
say it is enough, and give thanks -
and He miraculously makes it more than enough."
(Selections from One Thousand Gifts)
"Then He took the seven loaves and the fish, thanked God for them, and broke them into pieces ... They all ate as much as they wanted. Afterward, the disciples picked up seven large baskets of leftover food." (Matthew 15:36-37)
Give thanks for whatever you have in your hand - whatever situation you find yourself in - walk closely - rest - listen - and He will multiply. A small gesture of love to someone, even though seemingly insignificant, may be just what is needed by the person. And they, in turn, may pass it on - and before we realize it, it has multiplied into something quite significant. With more than enough for all.
A simple act of obedience, of following - and there is no telling what will result. Our part is all about the listening, the thanking, the daily walking - and His part is about the doing, and the multiplying.
"Walk with Me, and work with Me -
watch how I do it ... "
(from Matthew 11:28-30 Msg)
