A new little wall hanging in our entryway, calling out to us each time we come in the door, and each time we walk back and forth from the main level of our home and the lower level. A reminder ... always give thanks, every day is a gift. Even the days that things do not go as we planned or hoped ...
From my Jesus Calling book one day this last week:
"You are feeling weighed down by a plethora of problems, both big and small. They seem to require more and more of your attention, but you must not give in to those demands. When the difficulties in your life feel as if they're closing in on you, break free by spending quality time with Me. You need to remember who I AM in all My Power and Glory."
"Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails,
and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields,
and the cattle barns are empty,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!"
(Habakkuk 3:17-18)
Every day is a gift, and we can give thanks to the Giver of our days ...
